Best and First 5 dollars Charley has ever spent!

So we cashed in Charley's piggy bank the other day since it was full and as a family we decided to let him spend a little of it. He used 5.00 and bought himself a little tykes gently used slide off of oskaloosbuyselltrade! HE LOVES IT!

Charley loves to dance and I just so happened to catch him in the act today! (he usually stops when he sees the camera!)

September ALREADY?!?!?!

Wow I can't believe it is Septmeber all ready! Where has this year gone?!?! We don't really have much going on here other than work (greg and I) and play (charley) We have taken the new camper out a few time and LOVE all the extra room we have with it! Charley can play in there if it is cold or rainy which we had both of the last time we went out! We plan on camping at keomah this weekend I have to come back to work so we didnt want to go to far away! We fired up the heater last night to make sure it works since I'm positive we are going to need it! Works great Greg said he butt was on fire (he was standing next to one of the vents)

Charley is starting to talk more and more everyday and is always doing new things
either something he picked up from us or that he came up with on his own! He is getting big too fast! Im sure all parents say that though! He has almost 13 teeth! There are 3 or 4 that are poking through but not completly out!

We are trying to figure out what we are going to get him for christmas! If anyone has any ideas we would take them! We know he will get toys and stuff so we want to get him something useful!

Will try to start updating a little more since it is getting to the point we are inside playing instead of outside!

UPDATE

We decided to try out our "green thumb" and plant a small salsa garden. With lots of weeds and losing our onions we had a big garden moment today! We got our first TOMATO! We are very pround of it!









Charley now has 8 and 1/2 teeth. (the 1/2 isnt all the way through last he let me look) He is growing like crazy! (going on 15 months) He is gabbering like crazy and knows so many words! We have been doing the only thing you can do in this heat! SWIMMING! Charley loves the water and going swimming..we bought one of thos intex pools last year and have used it quite a bit and also gone to my bosses house and the public pool which has a slide that often ends in a huge screaming/cryin scene and us having to leave the pool cause a certain little boy doesnt listen!






Greg hasnt been doing much but working and spending time with Charley and I! We bought a new to us camper so we have been spending time getting it cleaned out and packed up with our stuff we had in our old one! We have had it for about a month and are just going to use it for the first time this weekend! CANT WAIT!

I finaly fulfilled my year+ dream! I purchased my very own amazon kindle yesterday! IT will be here tomorrow and I'm fairly certain I haven't been this excited since we had Charley! :) I already have a list of books I want! :)

WALKING?!?!

Welp it is safe to say that we are now the proud parents of a TODDLER! Charley has been walking for about 3 weeks now! He is soo fun to watch! (will have to post a video at later date! He also is the proud owner of his very own BEDROOM! He has been sleeping in his own room for a week tomorrow! He seems to love it! He likes to go in there and play during the day since his toy box is in there and he has foam puzzles on the floor that he likes to play with! We are trying to figure out how to make something so he can turn his own light on so he doesnt have to play in the dark before we get the light on for him!

Greg has been on days for 3 weeks and will continue on days until August 1sr (when the day guy comes back from maturnity leave). Charley and I have been enjoying having him home with us. Other than that we have nothing exciting going on! Hope everyone is doing well!

Topeka, Kansas?

Well Charley and I made long journey to Topeka with my parents! My mom is going to some class or something for H and S Feed. So she is in classes all day and we are hanging out with my dad! Greg has been baching it since Monday! I think he is somewhat enjoying it! We are going to be home Wednesday night sometime! So I'm sure by the time Greg gets home from work Thursday morning he is really going to be missing us?! Charley and I are having fun. Just enjoying our time with just dad/grandpa. Dont get much time with just dad! We are having fun except we didnt get to the zoo cause it was cold and rainy most of the day and now I guess they are saying tornados! YUCK!! I hope they end up missing us! I will update with the few pics I have when we get home!

1 year ago!

Hard to believe that one year ago today we were blessed with our little monster! At 5:51 pm Charley arrived into this carzy world! It blows my mind he is a year old already! We had a birthday party for him yesterday and he got tons of awesome stuff! We will post pictures as soon as I get them downloaded! But here are THEN and NOW

Guess NOT!

So I thought I was doing better with updating this but obviously I'm not! Sorry! Not a whole lot going on here! We are working and trying to get stuff around the house and yard cleaned up! Greg has been organizing the garage and Charley has been pretty good about making it look like a toy tornado has gone through the house everyday!

We went to Maquoketa over the weekend and spent the night with the James' family and went to the torquefest car show! Charley was really good all weekend and wasn't to shy! Although he did NOT like Spaz (James' cat)! Greg went and watched his cousin Ben race in Tipton (I think he had alot of fun) Other than that he was great all weekend! We had a blast and really enjoyed spending the weekend with family!

Not to much else going on! Will try to update a little more since we have alot of fun and important stuff that will be happening in the next 2 weeks! Can you guess what it is? Guess you will have to wait and see :)

Way too EARLY

So Charley decided it would be a good idea to get up about 1 1/2 hours earlier than usual today! :( I think I'll be taking a morning nap with him today :) We have to take the dogs to get there hair done at 9 and then have no other plans till Grandma Shirlee comes over to babysit while I go to work! We dont really have a whole lot of new things going on.

Greg is leaving Friday morning to make the trip to New Mexico with Rob to take the chevelle to get restored. They are leaving really early I guess and plan to be back sometime Sunday night! So Charley and I decided to take advantage of Daddy being gone and are going to go to Pella to stay over night in hotel with my mom! We already have our swimming gear pack! But before we can get to excited we have to survive a few more days and a baby shower for some friends! And our first shopping trip with Amanda and Aubrey! We are going to go to Williamsburg to go shopping for the kiddos! Can't wait Carters has TONS of clothes that I'm positive Charley CAN NOT live without! :) Then when we get up Sunday we are going to head to Ames to see the rest of the Kibbe Family!

Charley offically has 4 teeth now although the 4th one is only through a little! He is pretty cute with them and enjoys showing them off! He isn't walking yet but I think he is getting pretty close! He has recently been letting go of whatever he is hanging on to (like a testing to see if he can) for a few seconds and then either grabbing it again or just falling.! He is a brave little man!

Greg has been working day for the last 2 weeks since a guy on days is out of town setting up a machine at a different location and just found out that he can work days next week also! We have enjoyed him being home with us at night but it is going to make it really hard when he goes back to nights! :( Oh well we are enjoying it while we can!

I'll try to update from our shopping trip, night in hotel, and day with Kibbe's asap!

Baby?

Thought this would be a good time to blog since I just put Charley down for a nap ( I hear him up there laughing and spitting) Not alot of new stuff going on here. Greg is working days this week and just found out today probably next week to since there is a guy gone working at another plant location. We have been in the process of getting the spare room converted to Charley's room! Slowly but surely it is getting there. A few weeks ago I painted it and we plan to get everything else ready (cleaned out) for Charley to move into while Greg is home in the evenings! I'm not sure who is going to take the change the hardest Charley or me?


Well I am pleased to announce that we have a new baby in the family! My brother and sister in law had a baby girl on Saturday March 5th 2011. Aubrey Lynn Plate 6 lbs. 7 oz. 19 in. long. She was a month early as her due date wasnt till April 3 but I guess she wanted to come meet us NOW! She is adorable and Charley loves her. We are trying to get him to say aubrey and he makes some noises that sound pretty close!

Greg has been working in garage getting the openers and electric stuff done! Sound like some dirt/driveway work is in our future! Well I can still hear Charley talkin in his crib so I guess he decided naptime isnt such a great idea! Best go get him! :)

A long time ago -------- Now

Obviously we are AWESOME at updating this! I guess there isnt a whole lot of stuff going on here just the normal working and sleeping! HAHA..Greg is been working 58 hour weeks for what seems like forever! So Charley and I dont see much of him! :( Nothing new with me but Charley is growing like crazy and learning new stuff everyday! He has his 2 bottom teeth and the top 2 are almost through! (we can see them) He is pulling up on everything! Loves to play with the puppies and army crawls everywhere! We are guessing he will be walking in the next month or so! He likes to through things over the edge of highchair and then look at you and say ahhh ohhhh! I think he knows it annoys me and so he makes me laugh! He LOVES to spit it is very naughty but oh so CUTE! Other than that not a whole lot going on here. The garage has lights finally and the garage door openers are in the works. I'll be glad when they are up and running! I will TRY to update a little more often! Wish me luck :)
