-just another day!!

Obviously we have NOT updated this in a LONG time! We have started siding the house, the south side is done and about half of the east side is done! Greg says it is going up a lot faster and easier than he had planned, which is GREAT!
We are going to try and go camping one last time this weekend before we have to get the camper ready for winter. This is the last weekend that Greg doesnt have something going on till November, so we are taking advantage of it! Maybe we will get to somewhat celebrate our anniversary! (Can't believe its been 2 years already) :) Greg says we are just going to chillax(sp? chill and relax)!
We've decided to buy each other a KitchenAid Mixer for our anniversary and my birthday! Greg says its the best one that is within our budget!(that is the kitchenaid professional 5 plus) I cant wait I'm going to be a baking son of a gun haha!!!!!!
Work is still going good for both of us, Greg is still on days working on his line now he thinks it'll be till the 1st of the year at least. I'm still doing hair 2 days at the care center and 3 at the salon. My boss recently bought a new building so we will be moving our salon sometime in the next few months (depending on construction).
Thats about all we have going on for now! We will try to get some pictures up of the house soon. Hope everyone is doing well and had a great summer cause FALL is now here!

needing to update!!

hi everyone! here's what is going on with us... chels just last week started a 2nd job at a salon in an assisted living center in oskaloosa. she will work there on tuesday and wednesday, and will work at Hair Clinique on thursday friday and saturdays. this is a big change for her as she is now self employed part of the week and just went to commission at the other salon! we're really excited to be learning the roles of owners/managers/stock-keepers/payroll/scheduling/well everything there is to running a salon! as for me... i'm working 40 hrs still, thank god, and trying to side the house, but unfortunatuly between the heat at work(100 plus degrees) the heat at home outside after work(90 plus) and the two inches of rain every other night, i'm not getting very far! we were planning on camping last weekend but the rain, rained out a trail ride that we were going to be camping at with joann. next camping venture is fourth of july weekend @ the goodguys carshow in des moines! after that... we'll play by ear!

been awhile...

hey not much changed here. I went back to work on my line(from the tool room) and hate it, we're working on tearing off siding off of the house, getting ready for the new. and looking for someone to put soffit and facia on(reasonably!) chels is still working away then she's going on a walk w/ her mom... then probably to get ice cream(what's the point in walking?) anyhow i've ordered the last two windows for the house and am picking them up tomorrow! trouble is that i'm working 60 hours a week and don't have time to put them in! oh well the money is good, i'll take what i can get! chelsey is having a pampered chef party on sunday all are welcome...1:00pm

damn squirrels!

So along with the nice springy weather we've started feeding the birds and squirrels(just to keep them off the bird feeders), with that chelsey bought a squirrel feeder and filled it with a corn cob and the next day it was gone! The whole thing! I'm not sure the squirrels know that we cant continue to feed them if they take our feeders!

Along with the nice weather we've been working on the camper getting it ready to camp and tonight it's snowed about 3 inches already.... I think god might be telling us it's not quite spring yet. The kitchen is done for now until we get a new bathroom door, and then I can finish the trim work. The next big project is the siding(donations are now being accepted) We are kicking around the idea of going to the RV and Boat Show in Des Moines tomorrow, weather permitting, just to look around. That's really about all that is going on with us!

Kitchen

So the kitchen is pretty much done! All that is left is to touch up a few places with paint and put the trim up! Nothing to big. Here are the pictures with the floor in and stuff!We had to paint the floor before we layed the tiles. It was pretty neat looking! I guess thats what you get for using left over paint for everywhere else. Hope everyone is enjoying the nice weather, casue we are told while Greg was at work I went on a walk with my cousin and he 1 year old and my friend and her 4 year old. We went to the park and played for like 2 hours. We had a blast!

kitchen update

It has been a while since we last updated. We haven't been up to a whole lot other than working and trying to finish the kitchen! We are making some very good progress though! We now have the walls ceiling and cabinets painted. We are getting really excited to be done! Now that we can see the end! We still need to lay the flooring and put up trim and move a few things (stove,hutch) back in but other than that its going good! I'm very anxious to get the house back in order! Also to any one who might be conerned OLDBLEW(greg's truck) caught fire on saturday. It was just a small electrical fire under the hood with minimal damage. It will be needing a new wiring harness from the fuse block forward as it all burnt up.
